Granite spires and ponderosa pines from the summit of Little Devils Tower in the Black Hills, South Dakota. A Black Hills jigsaw puzzle.

The story

The Black Hills, South Dakota

In May 2026 we summited Little Devils Tower in the Black Hills of South Dakota, with Nikita and Buddy along for the climb. From the top, granite spires rose out of the pines in every direction, and birds circled the rocks below us.

Repeating granite and pine textures make this Black Hills jigsaw puzzle a rewarding challenge.
