Isla Verde, San Juan
In November 2024, this was the beach right outside where we stayed in Isla Verde, San Juan, Puerto Rico. Every morning we walked straight out the door and onto the sand.
Windows and palms come together quickly, and the open sky is the slow part of this Puerto Rico beach jigsaw puzzle.

The lay of the land
About the area
Isla Verde is a beachfront neighborhood just east of San Juan, right beside Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport. Its long stretch of sand and calm water make it one of the most popular beaches on the island.
