The story
The City of London
London in June 2023 was our first international trip together. We played it safe with somewhere that felt a little like home, and it helped that flights from Boston were cheap. Wandering the City of London, I kept looking up at corners like this one, where Victorian stonework meets modern glass.

About the area
The City of London is London's historic core, the "Square Mile" first settled by the Romans nearly 2,000 years ago. Today Victorian and Edwardian buildings stand shoulder to shoulder with glass towers, often on the same street corner.
